Andy's toy chest has never failed to bring a tear to my secretly-patriotic eye. The Toy Story films have a challenging task of balancing content to satisfy both children and adults equally, and miraculously Pixar seem to be the masters of that particular tightrope walk. The original Toy Story is the best film Pixar has made to date and remains one of my favorite animated films of all-time. The use of sound effects and spectacular scoring by Thomas Newman made Toy Story a work of art as opposed to a cheap trick.
